TC Industries is a 125 year-old, family owned company that has grown to become the industry leader for heat treatment, annealing, quench & tempering and normalizing of commercial size bars, plates and rounds of carbon and alloy steel.
- TC Industries began in 1881 as the Spring Valley Tile Works
- In 1887, the name was changed to the American Terra Cotta and Ceramic Company
- In 1935, the company was acquired by the Berry family and became the American Terra Cotta Corporation
- In 1948, as a result of WWII, the business converted to steel heat treating and became the American Steel Treating Company.
- In 1955, the Mill Products Division was formed and five years later, the Processed Steel Company was formed.
- In 1972, TC Industries, Inc was incorporated as a holding company for Mill Products, Processed Steel and our international plants in Canada and the UK
